The University of Leicester started the Research Impact Awards to publicly acknowledge the impact of their expertise. With 9 categories and over 25 nominees they wanted a website that would reflect the prestige of the awards and give each nominee the celebration they deserve.
This static site was developed using Gulp and Handlebars, with the gallery page leveraging lazy loading images and a custom styled lightbox to ensure its speedy delivery and consistent style. It also featured a custom text twitter feed (now expired) to show all tweets with '#researchimpactawards'. This tweets went through a moderation process before displaying on the site.
